Sanctuary

The small southern peninsula village of Vík í Mýrdal. Vík lies directly beneath the Mýrdalsjökull glacier, which itself is on top of the Katla volcano. The church is where the villagers go to seek refuge if the volcano erupts. You may recognise this from an almost similar composition earlier in my stream that I took way back in March, I got slightly better light this time but otherwise much the same.
